Malta eInvoicing regulations

Currently Malta has adopted a post-audit invoicing model.
There are no mandatory requirements around Business-to-Business (B2B) invoicing yet, however electronic invoicing is allowed.

Since 2019, Business-to-Government (B2G) e-invoicing has been mandatory and all contracting authorities shall receive e-invoices, if requested. Malta agreed to adopt the format Peppol BIS Billing 3.0
