Transalis earns government stamp of approval with cyber security award

Transalis has further enhanced its cyber security credentials by winning certification from the Cyber Essentials scheme.

The Cyber Essentials programme, backed by the UK Government, outlines the steps organisations need to take to ensure they can defend themselves against the vast majority of internet-based attacks.

Organisations need to satisfy basic controls to achieve certification. When these are properly implemented, they help to protect against unskilled internet-based attackers using commodity capabilities – which are freely available on the internet.

The Cyber Essentials controls are:

  • Access control
  • Malware protection
  • Patch management Boundary firewalls and internet gateways
  • Secure configuration

Ioannis Chrysanthou, Infrastructure Manager for Transalis said, “This certification demonstrates to our customers and partners that we take cyber security seriously. By successfully completing the Cyber Essentials assessment we can now demonstrate we have taken the steps to be fundamentally cyber safe.”
