What is the G-Cloud 13 Framework?
More commonly referred to as G-Cloud, the Government Cloud Framework is a service provided by Crown Commercial Services. Ir runs on a 12-month basis, the latest iteration is G-Cloud 13.
This online catalogue gives public sector organisations within central government, charity, education, health, local authority, and blue light services (to name a few) access to cloud-based goods and services. Suppliers on the framework have to meet stringent standards in a legally compliant manner.

- Is there a UK requirement for government departments to accept eInvoices?
UK government departments are required to be able to receive eInvoices from suppliers, even though there is no general business to government eInvoicing mandate covering all public sector purchasing. The one notable exception is the NHS, where eInvoicing already operates through an accredited Peppol Access Point rather than on a purely voluntary basis.
- What does it take for a supplier to be listed on G-Cloud?
A supplier has to meet the Crown Commercial Service's stringent, legally compliant standards before it can be listed on G-Cloud's online catalogue. Because the framework is refreshed roughly every 12 months, suppliers need to maintain those standards over time, which gives public sector buyers ongoing confidence in the providers they choose from the catalogue.
