Transalis celebrates international stamp of approval for data security 

A UK business automation specialist that underpins billions of pounds’ worth of global trade is celebrating a coveted accreditation in world-class management standards.  

Hampshire-headquartered Transalis has gained formal international certification for its data security, providing further reassurance for clients including retailers, manufacturers, logistics firms, healthcare providers and government bodies.  

The standard, ISO 27001, recognises Transalis’ systematic approach to ensuring customers have a reliable, secure platform for automating transactions, so minimising the need for costly manual and paper-based processes and associated errors. 

Infrastructure Manager Ioannis Chrysanthou, who is responsible for Transalis’ information security management and led the bid for ISO accreditation, said:

“ISO is a fantastic feather in our cap. It demonstrates our expanding services capability and gives our client base even more peace of mind. It positions us among those select few providers who can cite ISO in procurement exercises and contracts with larger business and government clients.”

The accreditation follows a rigorous independent assessment in which Ioannis and colleagues had to demonstrate a coherent and comprehensive suite of data security and risk management controls. 

The three-year certificate involves an ongoing audit programme designed to demonstrate the continuing pursuit of excellence.  

Transalis currently facilitates the exchange of millions of documents a year, underpinning billions of pounds’ worth of stock orders and invoices across 32 countries.

The ISO success comes after Transalis showcased its ‘capture, connect, secure’ approach to data management in the retail sector at the Gartner Supply Chain Executive Conference 2019. The three-day Barcelona event is the world’s most important gathering of supply chain leaders, attracting around 900 delegates and industry analysts.

The company also exhibited and presented at London’s GS1 UK Healthcare Conference this year, launching a new, fully managed supply chain solution for NHS trusts, hospitals and contractors.
